Carrying Out the Delivery

Start the GPS tracker in the app before posting your first leaflet and keep it running until your shift ends. The route data it captures is the record of your work and the basis on which payment releases - it is your responsibility to ensure it is running and that location remains enabled throughout.

Walk one side of your planned stretch before crossing. A stretch may cover several roads in succession depending on how your route is laid out - you may turn left multiple times, staying on the same side across different streets, before completing the return leg on the opposite side. The goal is to minimise road crossings across the full route, not just within a single street.

At each letterbox, use both hands - one to hold the flap open, one to feed the leaflet through. Insert the leaflet fully so that it is fully through the letterbox. A leaflet left hanging out is both a security risk to the resident and a visible sign of incomplete work. Do not insert your hand or fingers through to the other side of the letterbox under any circumstances. Where a letterbox is stiff or narrow, bend the leaflet gently along its length before posting to make insertion easier - do not crease it.

Post one leaflet per single-occupancy household. For multi-occupancy properties sharing a single letterbox, post two, or three at most.

Deliver during daylight hours. Starting in the morning and finishing before dark is strongly advised - both for your own safety and to avoid causing unnecessary concern to residents.
